The Wheel of Fortune isn’t a lottery ticket. It’s the card that turns up when the thing you’ve been waiting on has quietly started to move. A wheel doesn’t ask whether you’re ready. It only turns, and the question is whether you’ll be there when it does.

In the Golden Dawn tradition, the Wheel of Fortune (X) belongs to Jupiter, the planet of expansion, and to Kaph, the Hebrew letter for “palm of the hand.” Its path joins Chesed (mercy) to Netzach (victory). It’s the open hand that catches what the wheel brings.

A bracelet is a wheel you wear. Turn your wrist and the light in the tiger’s eye turns with it: golden brown and cool aqua, passing one another all the way round.

Wear it while you wait: for the reply, the offer, the answer, the number you’ve been afraid to ask for. A small ritual of keeping your hand open and your head up until the wheel turns.

What’s in it

The Wheel does not promise a particular outcome. It asks you to stay awake to the moment things begin to shift.

Tiger’s eye is chosen for focus and courage.

Amazonite is chosen for the voice. Folklore links it to the throat and to honest speech, and a turning wheel rarely gives you time to rehearse: the moment arrives, and you have to ask for the offer, name the number, say yes out loud. It is also called the stone of hope, which is the other half of readiness: staying open to what’s coming, without bracing for the worst.

Together, they are not here to turn the wheel for you. They are here to remind you to notice when it turns, and to meet that moment ready.

• Double-strand braided elastic. If one strand ever gives, the other holds.
• Surgeon’s knot, sealed and tucked inside a bead
• Every bead hole chamfered, so nothing saws at the cord from the inside

Details

• Two sizes: 17.5 cm and 18.5 cm inner circumference. To choose, measure your wrist with a soft tape and add about 1.5 cm.

Care
Keep away from perfume, lotion and water. Roll it on and off rather than stretching it over your hand. Keep out of long direct sun, as amazonite can fade. Not recommended for those with metal sensitivities.
